"spinning" ring. Sterling silver main ring. The edges are twisted wire.
The center is a separate piece of silver with a crosshatch imprint,
than can be "spun". I was inspired by a similar ring my teacher made.
This was the first ring I ever made, and you can see how bad I was at
soldering.

Additional view of spinning ring, you can see the center part has
moved.

second spinning ring. This will be an Xmas present ;) You can see that
my soldering technique has improved a lot.
Alternate view. Sadly the inscription is out of focus, but you can get
an idea of the twisted wire effect.
My first casting ever! One of them has been cut off the sprue, the
other is still attached.

back view closeup. You can see some porosity in the upper right, I
think because I attached the sprue wrong and it caused some turbulence.
Some excess near the bottom, I think the wax didn't burn out
completely.

"silver bells" ;) I made them by using a disc cutter to make two discs,
and then forming them into half-spheres with a dapping punch/cube. Then
I soldered them together, with a small pellet inside, using white out
as a flux resist so it wouldn't solder all the way closed. After some
experimenting I figured out the gauge and circle diameter + pellet
size, that made a sound I liked. Next stem is to make some chains to
attach these to.
